The owner of a hotel located at Kadugannawa close to the place where the rock was drilled on the Kandy-Colombo main road was beaten to death with a crutch on Thursday (18) by his elder brother.
A person named W. K. M. Navaratne (54) was killed. Mawanella Police investigating the murder stated that the brother of the hotel owner is a disabled person and he had come to the hotel drunk on Thursday (18) and had got involved in an argument with his younger brother and hit him on the head with a crutch.
Police have arrested the 56-year-old brother who killed his younger brother, the hotel owner. He was to be produced before the Mawanella Magistrate’s Court.
