Verdict on Einstein and the Bomb
Einstein and the Bomb is a docudrama series following Albert Einstein’s life during the rise of Hitler and the war. It shows how he was welcomed to other countries worldwide for safety. As well as his desire to bring peace to the world.
In what is a mixture of achieve footage and performance, we see the important moments in his life. How he feared the worst would happen and could never do anything about it. It also focuses on his fear for the deadly weapons being built which could and ended changing the world.
The movie explores the guilt he felt after the bombs were dropped on Japan. While exploring his position on nuclear weapons during World War II.
In the end, this does have some interesting stories from Einstein’s life. However, it doesn’t dive deep enough into the bigger picture of everything going on. There always feels like a much more complex side to his life during the difficult era and technological jumps. It can feel like we learnt more from his smaller role in Oppenheimer too.
Where to Watch
Einstein and the Bomb is available on Netflix now.
Final Thoughts – Einstein and the Bomb has interesting moments from his life, but nothing more.
