We introduced the Swedish company Einride and its electric, driverless company T-Pod and T-Log Vehicles, but now, according to an announcement Thursday, the company is taking its technology globally.
In particular, it will offer the next generation of its short to medium range electrical and electronic equipment Level 4 autonomous Trucks to customers around the world with an emphasis on use in closed, fenced facilities, ports and harbors and some public roads. This drayage work is similar to how Einride worked on it with its first generation vehicles.

In addition, it is planned to have vehicles for long-distance traffic on motorways by 2023. This is a pretty ambitious goal considering how many trucking companies have already accomplished this feat (Read: none).
The new pods are known as Autonomous Electric Transports (AETs) and have the model designations AET-1, -2, -3 and 4. As you would expect, AET-1 and AET-2 will be the first to hit the market . Both first two models will have a gross vehicle weight of 26 tons and a capacity of up to 15 pallets of freight.
