These disturbing charts are from the report titled The State Of America's Children 2021 by The Children's Defense Fund. They are just a few of many charts among an excellent report on the many children at risk in this country. Even though the U.S. remains the richest country in the world, far too many children are falling through the cracks in our inadequate system.
We should be doing better -- and we must do better! Sadly though, too many members of Congress think protecting corporations and the rich from paying taxes is more important than raising, protecting, and educating our children. As long as this is true, the United States will be an embarrassment among the developed nations.
