If you’ve ever asked questions like what are the best online learning platforms in 2019, this Edureka review is exactly where you should be.
In simple terms, I’ll be addressing if Edureka is the absolute best learning platform or even one of the best e-learning platforms in 2019, or maybe not?
Let’s get started.
Edureka Review
Let’s define Edureka for starters. It’s a platform which provides live, real-time classes on various IT related courses online.
Career-Decisive Courses
There are two types of people who may need Edureka. The first being those who know exactly what they wish to learn and achieve after learning it.
These type of students already have a goal, a desired career-choice and simply need the degree, skills, and certification. This type is what most other online, e-learning platforms cater to.
But it’s really Edureka’s ability to cater to the needs of another kind of students which impressed me. Edureka seems adequate and capable of handling a “confused” student as well.
The students who don’t exactly know what they wish to do, or don’t have a pinpointed goal, and are just researching the market to see what careers may suit them and has a good scope in the future.
How Edureka is Helpful?
If it’s your first time on the site and you click on an individual course, a Master’s program or any other program, Edureka shows you the market value for that course.
It shows data such as the average number of career opportunities, salary trends, top industries the degree/certification can be used in, job titles, annual growth, etc.
When you go to the course-pages, it even offers a lot more information about the course, its practical scope, the career paths available in it, skills required to enlist in the course and everything else.
This helps you go through a number of courses and settle on something which suits your skills, career and salary expectations.
Course Transparency
Transparency is the measure of how much data about the course is revealed before a student enrolls in a course.
It’s important because I’ve been with platforms which aren’t transparent and hence the expectations do not match with what’s actually provided in the course.
Edureka, on the other hand, excels when it comes to transparency. It makes sure you get what you pay for. The very first impression of courses on the homepage show details such as the number of enrolled students, timings of classes, reviews and so on.
Once a specific course-page is reached it displays other essential information about the course such as:
- Number of courses in the Program.
- Total number of hours.
- Number of assignments.
- Number of projects etc.
The platform also transparently displays the entire program syllabus so you know exactly what will be covered in the course(s).
The course curriculum is so detailed that it not only shows you what’ll be covered in the course but also the final projects you will need to complete to get your certification.
The course-page also shows us the completion rate for the course. It’s an essential metric showing how many people actually finish the course and how many don’t.
Then the reviews from other students too are displayed for each individual course.

Point is, there are no curtains. You don’t have to guess if what you seek will or won’t be covered in a certain program/course.
Quality of Teachers
We all have been on similar platforms with freelancers posing as teachers, fortunately, Edureka offers a lot more than just freelancers.

As is evident, these aren’t freelancers. Rather, they have extremely reputable jobs which only the most qualified brains in the country are considered capable of.
Also, teachers are rated and reviewed by each batch of students. They’re required to consistently maintain a specific rating in order to be an instructor at Edureka.
This makes sure that only those teachers who actually deliver results and meet all student expectations continue on the platform.
These teachers along with their educational qualifications and talent are also trained by Edureka to suit the needs of an Edureka student. This makes sure the learning experience is exactly as it should be and not the old, dull classroom-style one.
Flexibility with Course Timings
Edureka being a digital school can provide for a lot more liberty than the traditional brick and mortar schools.
One of the prime reasons why most students go with Edureka is its flexibility with the course timings.
You may already have a job, or probably are perusing another offline course? Either way, Edureka lets you choose your own timings rather than comply with one set by the platform or teachers.
You can choose from 6-weekday classes or two classes/week if you’re only comfortable with weekends. Even different timings throughout the day to best suit your schedule can be selected.
What if you can’t find the perfect time for yourself? Edureka lets students request a custom batch suiting their date and time rather than the platform’s!
Available Course
One of the most basic questions you’re probably asking throughout this Edureka review is, what are the available courses on the platform?
The simplest answer is, almost all of them as long as they’re related to the IT industry. There are a few exceptions but not many.
You can use the top-bar as well as the “Explore by Categories” option to get a glimpse of everything that’s available.

It has a backup option of letting you watch the recorded class session at a later time, making sure you can educate yourself at times suited best to you.
Not interested in recorded sessions? Edureka then adjusts you in another batch for the same course so you can attend the live-class at a later time.
Lifetime Support
This is one of the biggest feathers in the cap of this Edureka review. The platform assists you not only during the time you’re taking the course but forever.
Also if a course gets updated over time, and you enrolled in the course at an earlier time, Edureka lets you take the updated course for free!
Job Placement
The end-goal for almost everyone taking any course on the planet, is ending up in a job, isn’t it? Or maybe get a promotion?
Edureka has some interesting job placement policies. Some courses offer assured interview calls (e.g. Post-Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning).
In fact, the certification too at times is from physical, offline, govt-recognized institutes such as NIT Warangal (in case of the P.G in AI and ML course) and this is something I’ve never seen with almost any other similar platform!
Another job-placement assistance includes its inbuilt resume-building tool with pre-designed templates.
Then they also guide students with interview preparations, and even provide mock-tests!
Pricing Policies and Payment Methods
Each course has a different pricing plan (obviously). The price for each plan is shown on the course page.
However, most of the plans can be purchased with an EMI option which again isn’t something I’ve seen with other similar platforms.
Although buying the course upfront gets users discounts up to INR 10,000 in most cases as well!
Some Programs and Masters Programs also offer scholarships. Anyone is eligible to apply for the scholarship tests, if and when cleared they can avail discounts exceeding 50% on the total course price.
As far as payment methods go, they accept quite a few of them including:

Cloud Lab
One of the final major features that I’d be covering in this Edureka review is its Cloud Lab. It’s a time-limited environment provided to students.
This is where students can practice their new skills with a practical approach without having to install numerous other software and virtual machines on their systems.
Wrapping Up Edureka Review
So that’s all I had to pour in for this Edureka review folks. I’ve tried covering Edureka’s approach towards students, its transparency, faculty-quality, placement assurances, and other such features.
Some other mentionable features include its forum where you can interact with other students and members such as yourself, its 24X7 support team as well its real-life case studies.
I also researched on the internet about what others were saying about the platform, most of the reviews on Quora were either 4 or 5 stars.
Some students did have problems reconnecting to previous tutors and with the support, yet the reviews were mostly praise-songs.
Bottom line, it may or may not be the best e-learning platform, but sure tops the list. But hey, don’t let my opinions cloud your judgment, do drop your two cents on this Edureka review as well as the platform in general.
