Editorial: Every Kind of Man

Editorial: Every Kind of ManEvery autumn is a new beginning. As times change, it's important to reflect on who you are and in which direction you wish to go next.

This is one of those things that sounds easier said than done. But in fact, it's not that complicated. Close your eyes and imagine you are creating a self-portrait. How would you describe it? Which energy would it have? What messages would it convey? What are its main characteristics? What makes those characteristics be the way they are? Remember that there are no right or wrong answers here, you're not a cookie-cutter and every trait that's yours should be owned and, moreover, reflected upon.

Once you've done this, you can start projecting the things you would like to see changed. Start small and go big - always in the good direction.

Whatever type of person you are, at many times, you will find that the changes you desire are supposed to actually come from within and, as surprising and shocking, but at the same time obvious it might sound, the one who has the power to change those things is you.

Yes, it is overwhelming sometimes, but as you might remember some lyrics from a Lee Ann Womack song say "And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you dance."

And when you do that, don't forget to "feel small when you stand beside the ocean" and don't take anything for granted. And then things will change for the better.
