Nelson Deem “DEEM one”
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York City In the 1980′s. His early influences being the classic works of Graffiti on the subways he saw as a child.Always a fan of Graffiti art Deem took to the streets in 1998 and did his first pieces with spray paint.
Soon-after he met Cope2 who served as a mentor to Deem for many years, he was introduced to many writers and was taught many techniques and different styles thru painting murals with Cope. In recent years Deem has went on to paint with many legends of Graffiti, one in particular being Kase2 TFP;which helped Deem understand the advanced techniques of lettering and color theory, Cope2 and Kase2 had a huge effect on Deem’s constant evolution of Graffiti style. Deem is revered for being one of the few younger generation NYC writers that consistently paints new pieces on a weekly basis.
Deem’s graffiti has been showcased in many art books, magazines, movies, video games, fashion, galleries, and walls throughout the last 15 years.
Deem is currently working on new artwork frequently and is actively painting murals with Graffiti crews, the 4Burners, KD, TFP and TNB.
