Who doesn’t love food and wine? No one. Combine food and wine with Disney and it is arguably close to my idea of heaven. So naturally with Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival coming to a close on November 12th, I had to swing by before it is over for the year.
Line 2: Germany’s Menu, Germany’s delicious options: Schinken Nudel (Pasta Gratin with Ham and Cheese), Apple Strudel with Karamel-Vanilla Sauce and Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll, last picture is of two very happily fed German fräuleins.
Line 3: (First two pictures) Me eating Lettuce Wrap with Roast Pork and Kimchi Slaw from South Korea, (last picture) Greek Salad with Pita Bread.
Line 4: Créme Brûlée au Chocolat au Lait (the hard sugar-fired top was yucky, you’re welcome for saving you the trouble of trying it), France’s Menu, an excited Stephanie falling in love with Sparkling Pomegranate Kir.
Overall Summation: Disney events are always fun, albeit pricey. This year’s Food & Wine Festival was no different. I was slightly disappointed that the vast majority of the food was the same as last year. Portion size was fair for the price in terms of food. The samples of alcoholic beverages were grossly overpriced (as alcohol usually is). At the end of the day though, it was a good time spent in good company and for that, it was worth it.
If you have time and can go, I say do! And no worries if you miss it this year- evidently it doesn’t change much from year to year so in the words of a true Cub’s fan, “there is always next year!” (You’re welcome sports fans, don’t say I don’t think of you).
Cheers!
