As a huge coffee addict, I had to try an espresso bar in Manhattan before leaving. So on my last day I stopped by D’Espresso by Grand Central station, a small but neat espresso bar that specializes in coffee and gelato. What a good combo!
I got a double shot of espresso to get an extra kick of energy on my last day. This espresso was very strong, and I liked its taste and the foam that it had. Thanks to this, I was fairly awake for the rest of my time in Manhattan.
D’Espresso serves gelato from Screme, a gelato bar that’s located elsewhere in Manhattan. Their gelato is famous because it’s made and delivered fresh everyday! I got a single scoop of Tiramisu Gelato and it was nothing less than amazing. I haven’t had ice cream this good since I was in Italy, so I was thoroughly impressed!
Although nothing fancy, D’Espresso still met all my expectations of a Manhattan espresso bar. Great coffee, cozy interior, and the surprise of it all was the world-class gelato that I got too. For anyone in New York who needs a midday pick-up-up, this is where you can get it!
