Easy Herb Roasted Chicken GI 365
This herb-roasted chicken is simple to make and tastes great. It's a great dish for any event. Fresh herbs and garlic give the chicken a fragrant flavor, and the high temperature during roasting makes sure the meat stays juicy and tender. This meal is very easy to make and will delight your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken about 4 pounds

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and parsley

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 425F 220C


Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels


In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, chopped herbs, minced garlic, salt, and pepper


Rub the herb mixture all over the chicken, including under the skin and inside the cavity


Place the chicken on a roasting pan or baking dish, breast side up


Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F 75C and the juices run clear when pierced with a knife


Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving


Serve the herb roasted chicken with your favorite sides and enjoy!
