This is probably the easiest sewing project you could tackle. All you need are two piece of fabric cut to equal measurements.
I found this alpaca flannel and thought it would make a great blanket. It was just the right width, so I cut it to the length I wanted. Then I did the same with the quilted fabric. I pinned them right side together and stitched around the edges almost all the way around. I left an opening so I could turn the fabric right side out. I then stitched along the outside edge, leaving about a half inch allowance. I pressed the edges and it was ready to be gifted.
