First flown in 1928, the Eastman E-2 Sea Rover was a light seaplane built for business and shuttle use, with a total production of 18. The pilot and two passengers sat in two separated open cockpits. The E-2 was designed by former Ford engineer Thomas Towle for industrialist Jim Eastman of Eastman Laboratories. This example is a consolidated components of three E-2 wrecks recovered throughout British Columbia. By the end of 1929 Eastman Aircraft would merge into the Detroit Aircraft Corporation.
