In its first year, the Dwell Visions Awards will honor two creative individuals who demonstate true innovation and ingenuity through their ideas and work. The award, conceived by Dwell Media and the Big Ass Fan Company, will recognize an architect and a designer whose design vision is redefining how we live life in the modern world. Special emphasis will be given to projects that seek to galvanize the public to effect change on a large scale; initiatives that encompass several design disciplines; the use of sustainable materials and methodologies; and above all, work that demonstates a dedication to helping people through good design.
