A Sergeant assigned to the security of the GCE Ordinary Level examination co-ordination center located in Ambalangoda Dharmashoka Vidyalaya has been arrested for being drunk while on duty.
He is a Sergeant attached to the Ambalangoda police station. He was arrested Saturday (3) and presented before a medical officer at the Balapitiya Hospital where it was confirmed he had taken alcohol while on duty. A senior police officer said he was interdicted yesterday.
