Fleet trio Drug Store Romeos have shared new single ‘What’s On Your Mind’ ahead of the release of debut album ‘The world within our bedrooms’ on 25 June via Fiction Records (preorder HERE). They’ve also announced details of a headline show at London’s prestigious Scala on 17 November.
While the album aims to ‘reflect the ever-changing nature of someone’s mental state over a period of time’, ‘What’s On Your Mind’ focuses on how sometimes negative emotions and situations can lead to positive frames of mind and refreshing changes of perspective. The song starts off very much in the dreamy, floaty Stereolab-meets-Sparklehorse space that has served the band so well before gentle experimentation and extra layers of sound reflect Sarah’s determination to learn from tough experiences and make a change for the better.
