Story: Drive Back starts when Reid (Gold) and Olivia (Kunschik) celebrate their engagement. The party is at a family’s remote cabin and the drive home takes a twisted turn. They are nearly involved in an accident and must ask for directions. The pair are offered a shortcut, which takes them down a more secret road that starts presenting a difficult situation.

As the journey continues, they start questioning their reality. The road feels endless, and neither can put together a timeline of their journey. They must figure out what is going on if they are going to escape, which sees them testing Reid’s survivalist training from his childhood.

Verdict on Drive Back

Drive Back is a mystery horror thriller that follows a couple who get lost on an abandoned road. They get caught up lost in reality not understanding what is going on, testing their relationship. It becomes a battle to survive the threats in the forest.

This movie is a mind-bending journey through reality. It manages to test us, as we just think we understand everything, things take a dramatic turn. We get a new movie that balances reality and endless realities. It grabs what made ‘Triangle’ magic and builds on it with a new concept following this idea. This is an excellently told story that plays wonderfully into the concept and keeps you on edge, even if Reid seems to be a terrible driver.
