Drink Me Earl Grey Tea Latte Review

By Kev A @kevvieguy
a drink with the flavor of earl gray tea and frothy milk
Whilst shopping at Sainsbury's recently I came across this new Tea Latte drink from Drink Me Chai. The idea of a "Tea latte" sounded very intriguing so I just had to give it a try!
It's described as "Early Grey tea infused with frothy milk" and contains 90 calories per cup. I emptied the sachet into a mug and made it as directed, and ended up with a pale frothy coloured drink. Apologies for the dark photo...my kitchen had a serious lack of light!:
frothy latte with the flavor of earl gray tea
Taking a sip I was met with a very creamy and smooth tasting latte, with a subtle earl gray tea flavor. It was rather odd at first but after a while I started to enjoy the subtle taste of bergamot with the milkiness of the latte. It's a combination that somehow works.
Overall, I would recommend this to those who are adventurous and fancy something a bit "different" to a regular hot chocolate or cappuccino. Although, if you're someone who thinks earl gray tastes like "perfume" then this probably isn't the drink for you!
