Architects Greg Warner and Michael McCabe recognize the value of atmosphere in wine tasting, which is why their pavilions at Quintessa in Napa Valley nestle quietly into the landscape. “Quintessa is not about a building, it is about a place,” they explain. “Any structures built in this place need to be minimal interventions that integrate with their surroundings.”
