Drew Stephenson | Fresh Faces

Brooklyn, NY native Andrew Stephenson has been attracted to the arts since a very young age. At the age of 7 Drew found himself playing the trumpet, never realizing that he would eventually venture into playing the piano, french horn, and drums. At the age of 22 Drew was approached by an agent at Click Models of Atlanta who signed him the next day! Drews passion for the arts eventually led him into acting where J.Pervis agreed that there was a place for him in the acting industry. Since being signed to Click  and JPervis Talent, Drew has booked everything from Sean Johns 10 year anniversary runway show to Coke Zero Commercials. This young man shows his work ethic with each year becoming more fruitful than the last. He is definitely one to look out for in the coming years!
I’ve shot with Drew a few times. He’s a cool dude. Someone you’d consider familiar in that he’s athletic and a model-slash-actor. But that’s not it. You’d never know he was a computer geek too–we’re talking coding, programming.  The last time he called me up it was to shoot a Q&A video–his version of career day. He was doing the teacher a favor–tech jobs are the new blue collar jobs and having someone in that field that’s relatable to kids goes along way. Like I said, he’s a cool dude.

Short Q + A

Describe your personal style.
I love to switch up my style a lot! I keep it simple most days but I am not afraid to switch it up with Aztec patterns, and crazy colors.
What type of approach do you take to modeling?

Is pretty simple I just keep it simple and clean when it comes to modeling. You have to be a canvas that the casting agent can paint where acting is all about being prepared and showing personality. During acting auditions or meetings I will wear funky patterns and looser fit clothing.

Professional Inspiration?
Denzel Washington would have to be my professional inspiration. He has done over 42 feature films and still manages a great family life. He goes to his sons football games and keeps his name in positive standings with the media. After Denzel won an Oscar for his performance in “training day” he showed us that he was just as hungry as before by coming out with 3 movies in the following year alone. If I had to compare my ideal acting career to one in the present day I would have to say Denzel’s matches it closest.
