Dredge How to get Refined Metal – Traveling Merchant
Refined Metal is available in Dredge from the Dusty Pontoon, run by the Traveling Merchant, for $500 per piece. According to the map above, The Rusty Pontoon is situated on the Northwest Gale Cliffs on the bay’s north shore, across from the settlement of Ingfell. Although there are other pontoons in the game that sell refined metal, this is the one you’re most likely to encounter.
Although $500 is undoubtedly a hefty price to pay, it’s not difficult to generate money in this location given the abundance of fishing sites in the water and the Merchant’s willingness to buy virtually everything you have to offer. As a result, if you don’t have the money, you can simply go out and harvest the bay a few times. This should be enough to provide you enough money for the Refined Metal and the ensuing Hull upgrade without putting you in too much risk. Just be careful while entering the network of cliffs south of you; it’s much riskier to hunt there because there are things there that will hunt you back.

Refined Metal is also present in a few places on the landscape, typically concealed behind obstructions that require the use of Dredge explosives to remove. In reality, another piece of refined metal is being blocked by the rock wall on the south side of Ingfell Bay, just below the Pontoon.
