From Lefkas Weddings: "David and Laura, from the UK, chose the stunning island of Lefkada, Greece, for their intimate villa micro wedding in May 2024. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they celebrated their love in a picturesque setting at Villa Tempestini. The ceremony took place on a terrace with a panoramic sea view, showcasing the islands of Meganisi and Kalamos and the Greek mainland in the distance. The setting was beautifully enhanced by two elegant flower urns, filled white hydrangeas, roses, aster, and delphiniums and Laura's bouquet featured exquisite white peonies, roses, and eucalyptus. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a champagne drinks reception accompanied by a live guitarist, chatting and enjoying the music before the groom gave a heartfelt speech and thanked everyone for travelling for their special day."
"The evening was filled with personal moments that touched everyone's hearts. A humorous poem about David and Laura's love story, read by the mother of the bride and father of the groom, brought laughter and smiles at the ceremony. Later, the emotional father of the bride's speech at dinner left no dry eye in the room. Dinner was a highlight of the evening, featuring a long table with hanging overhead bulbs that lit the al fresco dining beautifully. The table was adorned with a green leafy garland, candles and gold accents. The catering team ensured that every detail was perfect, presenting a beautifully curated Grazing Table dinner that delighted everyone. It was exactly the evening that our couple envisioned, focused on delicious food, fine wine, and great conversation, rather than a big party, as they planned to host a larger reception in the UK later in the year." As the day goes so fast, it was nice to be able to look back at videos, as it's easy to miss little details, so it would have been nice to have a videographer to capture these moments. I would also recommend planning something for the day after the wedding. We loved catching up with our family and friends the day after and reflecting on the day.
