By Eleni Balkouli @Love4Wed

We could not be more obsessed with this summer wedding at the Offley Place, a lovely country house hotel in the village of Great Offley that shows exactly how romantic a wedding can be! From the picturesque setting, the lovely floral details, the stylish couple to the gorgeous images, the result is definitely one to remember!

"David planned a really beautiful proposal - which was a complete surprise to me! He woke me up one Saturday morning with my favourite breakfast, told me to pack a bag and whisked me away to Venice. We'd visited the city the year before and loved exploring all the winding cobbled streets and so it felt like such a treat to return again. As we were crossing a bridge down a quiet side street, he handed his phone to a passerby to snap a picture of us both and got down on one knee. David has always been my biggest supporter and my best friend, he is incredibly kind, generous, funny and wonderful, so of course my answer was YES! ", the bride shared with us.

"We had originally planned our wedding for 2020, but due to the pandemic - we had to postpone to the following year. So after a year of postponements, the most important thing we wished for was to both be healthy and able to actually get married surrounded by friends and family! Anything else was a huge bonus. On our big day, the sun was shining and we had the pleasure of working with an incredible team of suppliers and creatives who pulled together to deliver us the day of our dreams!"

"Sarah Malin Flowers and Fleur De Lace created my dream fairytale-esque aisle and our venue Offley Place very Kindly allowed us to drape delicate chains of cherry blossom, cuscus leaves and silk wisteria from the ceiling, which framed the aisle and trailed down towards our 'centrepiece' - the wedding moongate, which had been woven with yet more florals and pampas grass. My bouquet was a beautiful mix of roses, greenery and pampass while my bridesmaids had simple ties of white gypsophila. "

"As I had an extra year to plan and research ideas, I definitely turned to the internet for inspiration!"

"I don't know if I could pick just one favourite moment! Walking down the aisle and seeing David at the end was a memory I cherish. I also started the day with my bridesmaids at the stunning Luton Hoo Hotel - an elegant former stately home with the most grand staircase. I felt really emotional when taking the shots of me heading down the stairs because I remember visiting aged 16 and seeing a bride getting ready to walk down the aisle in the very same spot. 11 years later, it was me doing the same. The bride's advice to other brides-to-be: "The day is all about celebrating YOU as a couple, rather than a need to do anything in particular just because it's tradition. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming in the beginning, so where possible - it may be worth working with a wedding planner to help hone in on your ideas and pull together your special day. There are so many decisions to make (and so much on Pinterest to take inspiration from) so having someone to make sense of your ideas, hopes and priorities can be hugely helpful. We worked with the wonderful Charlotte from La Fete, who helped bring our vision to life and brought a wealth of knowledge and experience with her! "
