High end suction power & superior battery life
When we get offered these cheaper vacuum cleaners, I am often dubious about the claims they make. But after trying out the Dreametech T30 most of my doubts were quickly extinguished.
The 190 air watts of suction power (only 40 less than the Dyson V15) is not over-exaggerated at all, and the 90 minutes of battery life is especially handy.
One of the standout features is the smart screen located on the rear of the unit that shows real-time information such as battery time remaining and dust level detection.
My tests showed that this vacuum cleaner performs exceptionally well on carpet floors, and almost as well on hard floors.
The only real complaint I had about this vacuum was the fact that the manual was full of errors. Mainly typos that could easily have been fixed and takes away from the excellent design of this model.

Should You Buy It?
If you are looking for a high-end vacuum cleaner with all the bells and whistles of the more expensive brands, but without the cost - then yes - you should seriously consider the Dreame T30.

DreameTech T30 Cordless Vacuum Overview
After reviewing the T30's littlest brother - the T10, we were quite impressed. And the Dreametech have set the bar even higher now with the T30.
A few notable upgrades to the T30 over the T10 are the smart screen and higher suction power (190AW vs 110 AW).
The 190 air watts of suction power is on the high end for cordless vacuums and brings it almost up to the level of The Dyson V15.
The T30 comes complete with almost any accessory you might need and the battery is easily removable allowing for quick replacement down the track if the need arises.
The T30 is a great addition to Dreametech's lineup of products and is only let down by the unfortunate lack of editing/proofreading in the manual.
T30 Cleaning Power
The increased 190 AW of suction power from the Dreame T30 was very welcome at our house - with two young kids determine to give me as big a mess as possible to test the cleaning power of this model on!
The main floor tool included with the unit incorporates a 'V-shape' brush pattern design which is meant to maximize debris pick up will minimizing tangles with hair and other such items.
I found that the floor tool worked great on carpet with nothing left behind after a single pass. On hard floors, it would sometimes require a second pass - but this was only if the floors had large amounts of debris on them.
The motor in the unit is named the 'Dreame Space 5.0' and apparently spins at speeds of up to 150,000 RPM.
T30 Battery Life
Dreametech boasts of up to a 90 minute run time from the 2,900 mAh battery. This claim is certainly true, although it is with the suction-only tools and on the lowest power setting.
The power setting is easily switched with the button on the back of the motor unit.
Which, to be honest, no one ever uses. On the max setting basically all I use on all cordless vacuums) the T30 got 25 minutes of use out of the floor tool - which is pretty impressive when you compare it to other models with that amount of suction power, or in the same price range.
The battery is also removable with just the push of a clip - which could be handy if you need an additional battery, or it needs replacing in the future.
Usability
The usability of the T30 really is another area where it really shines.
The large number of attachments provided cover you for almost any need, and the crevice tool even has a handy LED light on the end of it which allows you to see what you are doing when vacuuming those dark areas such as under car seats or in between couches.
But the real hero of the usability is the smart display on the back of the hand unit.
This display makes and quick and easy to see the following info:
- Cleaning record
- Dust level detection
- Remaining runtime
- Auto lock indicator
- Cleaning mode selected
The inclusion of an electric lock-on feature means that you don't need to hold the trigger down during longer vacuuming sessions. Which will probably be well received by those with hand strength/medical issues.
T30 Quality
There is no doubt that the T30 feels solid and well built.
Everything that is meant to click together does so effortlessly and at no point did it feel like I had to force anything or that any part was going to break.

DreameTech T30 Alternatives
If you are looking for a well-made, versatile cordless stick vacuum at a higher price, the DreameTech T30 is absolutely worth considering. But if you need something that has the backing of a well-known brand then you might want to consider the Dyson V15 instead - although you will need to pay almost double the price of the T30!
Another alternative is the Roborock H7, which has similar features, but a slightly lower suction rating.
Things to Consider Before Buying
Cordless stick vacuums are more maneuverable and easier to use than traditional vacuums, but they often aren't as powerful. Before you invest in a new stick vac, there are a few things you should consider to determine if a cordless vacuum is right for your needs and to help you narrow down your search.
- Carpets or hard floors - Consider what the predominant flooring type is in your home. If it is a thick pile carpet, a cordless vacuum isn't likely to get the job done. But if it is mostly hardwood and thin rugs, a stick vac could be the better choice.
- Size of your home - Cordless vacs run on batteries with varying run times. If you have an extra-large home, you will need a long-lasting battery. But even the top vacs on the market may not offer enough run time to finish your home in one sweep.
- Functionality - Do you need your vacuum just to be a vacuum cleaner, or do you want it to sweep, dust, and everything in between? Many stick vacuums come with multiple attachments to tackle any project.
- Budget - If your budget is on the lower end, you are better off investing in a low-priced corded vac than a cordless one. But if you can afford something a little more expensive, you'll have cordless options that are almost as good as similar priced corded vacs.
