Dragon City Breeding Guide

Breeding dragons can take a long time as each spawning period and hatching takes time. Most level 2 types require at least 8 hours or more for breeding and hatching.

Ideally, you will want to start getting level 3 dragons as soon as possible. That way, once you have two level 3 dragons like rubber or football, you can start aiming for a legendary.

Generation (level) 1

These are your basic dragons. There are a total of 8 elements. They are Earth, Flame, Water, Nature, Electric, Ice, Metal and Dark.

Ice, metal and darkness will be more difficult to obtain due to the fact that you will have to reach a higher level to build their habitats.

Second generation

You will get level 2 when you raise two levels 1 from generation 1. For example, if you breed a nature dragon with an ice dragon, there is a possibility that you will get a dandelion or a mojito dragon. Level 2 types are required to breed level 3 dragons.

Third generation

There are mainly six level 3 dragons. These level 3 types cannot be reproduced directly from level 1 type. If you try to light a flame with ice, it will not allow you. So what you need to do is raise a level 1 with a level 2 dragon to get the best chance of getting one of these rare dragons.

To breed a level 3 type, use a level 2 dragon with at least the same element and breed it with the primary element of the level 1 dragon. For example, the gummy dragon has the electrical and natural element. To have the best chance of getting it, you will need:

Star Dragon (Terra + Electric) + Nature Dragon

Alternatively, you can also use another comb like the Neon (Electric + Dark) e nenufar (Water + Nature). This will take multiple attempts because there are as many combinations as possible.

Generation 4

These are the rare legendary dragons you can breed using level 3 types. It takes a total of 4 days to obtain them. This includes 2 days of breeding and 2 days of hatching.

Ideally, you'll want to raise level 3 multiple times to get one of these dragons.

There are a total of four level 4 types and they are legendary, mirror, crystal and wind. Not only are they powerful, they are also weak to their own species.

Generation 5

To get them, you will need two level 4 types to generate one of these. They are as powerful as level 4 and you can also breed pure element dragons by raising the pure dragon with a level 1 dragon.
