Oh, yes! Your North girl travelled to Pasig City just to try Draft Restaurant & Brewery. You have probably seen posts about this place and just like you, I too, am curious. Plus, I haven't been to Ayala Malls The 30th so this is a win-win situation for us both. 🙂
Moving on, I brought my family here for a quick New Year lunch. And boy, let me tell you that our travel was worth it! Draft Restaurant & Brewery did not disappoint. Ready to read all about it?
Here we go!
The Restaurant
Draft Restaurant & Brewery has four branches: Ayala Malls The 30th in Pasig City, Greenbelt 2 in Makati City, Power Plant Mall also in Makati City and lastly Molito Commercial Complex in Muntinlupa City. As mentioned, this is in Ayala Malls The 30th and they are exactly located at one corner of the Corte Area on the ground floor.
From the outside, you can already see the restaurant's dark, earthy colour theme. It's still relaxing though but you'll instantly know that it's not just a cosy family restaurant. Draft is also a brewery which explains its warmer lights and darker setting.
Plus, they have various seats which you can see in the photo. Since I was with my Abuelita, we chose the couch. But whichever seat you choose doesn't matter as the place is clean and well-ventilated.
In terms of service, their staff is very accommodating and attentive which makes ordering a breeze. They'll practically help you out if you have questions plus they don't rush you.
The Food
Yes, Draft is a restaurant and brewery but they are open for lunch onwards. In fact, they have simple Lunch Specials which is available daily from 11 AM to 3 PM. They have nine choices which all costs PHP 199 except for one which is priced at PHP 240. Each meal comes with a cold glass of iced tea.
Besides this, Draft also has a wider menu which consists of soups & salads, all-day breakfast, mains, Kid's Menu, pizza, burgers, plates of pasta, mussel pots, beer grub and dessert. If you want to drink, they have a selection fo Compadre Craft, beers on tap, bottled beers, wine and other liquor.
We chose the following:
Express Tapa (PHP 199)
Salisbury Steak (PHP 240)
Beer Cheese Pizza (PHP 340)
Draft Burger (PHP 415)
Let me repeat myself. Draft Restaurant & Brewery did not disappoint. Not only are their Lunch Specials affordable, but they did not skimp on deliciousness. The Express Tapa was tender and good. We don't recommend the vinegar they used though. If we're not mistaken, they served it with Pinakurat. Honestly, a natural cane vinegar will do. The Salisbury Steak is good especially the gravy.
In addition, they do offer some expensive items like pizza and the burger. Keep in mind that the Beer Cheese Pizza consists of roast garlic, caramelized onions, mozzarella, cheddar and home-made beer cheese sauce. The Draft Burger, on the other hand, is made of cheddar, house burger sauce, thinly sliced pickles, onions, tomatoes, lettuce and Draft's blend of meaty U.S Angus Beef cuck and belly in between sesame milk buns served with fries and ketchup.
This simply means that these two are loaded with flavours you will love. Thus, we had a very satisfying meal. The question now is, will we return? Yes, but not right away. Remember we don't live near the area although this is by far the nearest branch. But who knows? They might open a nearer branch soon.
