Plot: A woman’s idyllic summer is shattered when her best friend falls ill, her fiance vanishes, and she’s drawn into a terrifying battle against an ancient evil in this modern re-imagining of Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Story: Dracula Eternal starts when Mina (Cameron) and Lucy (Bauer) find themselves stalked by a mysterious stranger. He gets to close and Lucy begins going through a transformation. Mina is forced to turn to other people for help, with Father Connor (Connor) guiding her.

Elsewhere, Detective Drake (Ferguson) and Detective Mills (Milfort) investigate the other options. Mina discovers she is facing a vampire and must find a way to defeat the one who turned Lucy before it is too late.

Verdict on Dracula Eternal

The movie follows a woman in modern day LA who discovers her friend has been bitten by a vampire. She must uncover the truth behind the person who turned her, if she wants her friend back. However, the dangers are much bigger than she expected.

Best Parts

The movie brings a fresh approach to vampires in the modern world and shows the controlling manner they operate. It has a few good scares when it comes to gaining control and uses the modern setting well. The performances are good in the movie and lead to us wanting to see where the journey takes them. It uses more of the more traditional vampire methods in everyday life.

Worst Parts

The movie doesn’t have as much involved with the vampires picking off a lot of victims. It uses a more targeted approach, which doesn’t give them as big of a threatening feeling.

Final ThoughtsDracula Eternal has a nice twist to vampires in a modern world.
