Dracula And… Dubstep? Novel, Movie, and Maze Review!

By Appraisingpages @appraisjngpages

Our favorite tradition is our annual trip to California in October to go to Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights. It is so. fun. The entire park is haunted and we race around all night to make sure we hit every haunted house and every scare zone. We previously featured The Walking Dead maze and how it differed from the graphic novel. How does a theme park apply to our book blog? Read this guest review by Chad…

When I think of Halloween…I imagine a dark, gray, grainy, gothic
universal monster flick. How amazing would it be if life could
replicate that atmosphere that only the classic monster movies can
capture! Oh wait….there is a place that does that! Universal Studios
Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights! Each October they bring films to
life on a grand scale. You literally walk into the movie and
experience the film.

Dracula is not only an amazing movie that I’ve seen countless times,
it’s also an amazing book. The first time I read the book I had
already seen the film. I was amazed by how much darker the book was.
How gothic the book was and how it also created an amazing atmosphere
JUST like the movie….maybe even better…

So when I heard that HHN was going to be doing a universal monsters
remix I was beyond stoked! They were going to take their classic
monsters and add a twist…dub step. Sounds so weird…I know, but it
ruled!! An amazing haunted house that brought the nostalgia of my
childhood.
