Dr Dre provides health update after suffering from brain aneurysm
Dr. Dre is on the mend.
E! News learned that the music icon, 55, was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Jan.15, where he had been staying since suffering from a brain aneurysm on Jan.5.
According to TMZ, which was the first to break the news, he was in intensive care until January 13, when he was transferred to a private room. As doctors do not know what caused the medical emergency, TMZ reports that he will continue to receive care when he returns home.
Ice T also shared the good news on Twitter, writing: "Just FaceTimed with @drdre He just got home. Safe and beautiful."
On January 5th, Dr. Dre - whose real name is André Romelle Young - took to Instagram to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time.
"Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and good wishes," he captioned himself at the recording studio. "I am doing very well and receiving excellent care from my medical team. I will be leaving the hospital soon and going home. Well done to all of Cedars' great healthcare professionals. One Love !!"
