DPRK Premier Visits Industrial Complexes in Sunch’o'n

DPRK state media reported on 7 July (Sunday) that Cabinet Premier Pak Pong Ju inspected three industrial complexes in Sunch’o'n, South P’yo’ngan Province.  Pak toured Sunch’o'n Cement Complex where he “he acquainted himself with production” and consulted with the cement plant’s managers and officials.  During the meeting Pak “called for earnestly learning from the fighting spirit and working style of the soldier-builders on Masik Pass [Masikryo'ng] who are creating the new speed of great surge in hearty response to the order of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.”  The meeting also “took measures for increasing the supply of cement to major construction sites by accelerating the modernization of the production processes, cutting down the days for overhauling the kiln and radically boosting the production.”

Pak Pong Ju also visited Sunch’o'n Chemical Complex and Sunch’o'n Nitro-Lime Fertilizer Complex where he “learned in detail about production” at the plants.  He held a “consultative meeting” which, according to KCNA, “underscored the need for the Cabinet and related units to supply in time raw and other materials necessary for the production of vinalon and fertilizers and for the officials and workers of relevant units to push ahead with the modernization of the equipment so that production may be kept going at a high rate.”
