DPRK state media reported on 29 June (Saturday) that Cabinet Premier Pak Pong Ju visited two factories and a cooperative farm in North P’yo’ngan Province.  Pak’s first visits were to the Ponghwa Chemical Factory and Ryangchaek Bearing Factory.  According to KCNA he “encouraged the workers there in their drive to improve the management of equipment and technical control.”  Pak also was briefed about farming equipment at the Naejung Cooperative Farm in Yomju County where he also “acquainted himself with issues arising in applying the system for taking charge of plots while talking with farmers.”  At his onsite visits Pak convened meetings to consult with managers and officials.  These meetings “discussed measures for providing in good time fuel and materials badly needed in production and improving the quality of products” and “dealt with issues of increasing the utility rate of land to suit specific conditions and boosting the will of the agricultural workers to increase production.”
