DPRK state media reported on 19 July (Friday) that Cabinet Premier Pak Pong Ju visited the construction of a children’s hospital and dental hospital, the Mushroom Research Institute and the Munsu Wading Pool. Pak visited the children’s hospital and dental hospital where he toured “several places of the construction sites” before holding a meeting with construction managers, personnel and officials. According to KCNA the meeting “underscored the need to increase the speed of construction and improve its quality true to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea to build hospitals to be proud of and impeccable in all aspects” and the meeting “called on the Cabinet, the State Planning Commission, ministries and national institutions to satisfactorily supply building materials needed for the construction projects.” Pak previously visited the construction of the children’s and dental hospitals with Kim Jong Un (Kim Cho’ng-u’n) which was reported by DPRK state media on 16 July.
Pak also toured the construction of the Mushroom Research Institute, subordinate to the State Academy of Sciences, and the Munsu Wading Pool where he “encouraged the soldier-builders registering achievements despite unfavorable conditions.” Pak Pong Ju was briefed about progress made in the construction of the mushroom institute and the wading pool and he “called on the relevant units to keep the supply of building materials on par with the construction.”
