For the last few days we have been trying our the new App from Addison Lee Minicabs. The app is available on all major platforms – we tested it using an iPhone.
Here are few essentials.
- The app is easily found in the app store and quickly downloaded – all for free.
- The app will pinpoint exactly where you are and suggest nearby places which makes locating you very easy.
- The app tells you exactly how many minutes you will have to wait if you decide book the taxi.
- Once booked you will receive a text message detailing that your driver has set off.
- You can the track using the app exactly where the driver it. On occasions the driver will phone you to update you with information such as they are ‘on the one way system’. This is particularly useful if your location is quite complicated.
- Addison Lee Head office are monitoring all the journeys and will step in if anything goes wrong. On our journey from the Independent schools show we were phoned to say be ready as it is hard for the cab to pull in.
- Once you are in the cab and on your journey you can monitor where you are and the app will tell you in real time where the cab is and how long it will take to get to your detestation. This takes into account real life traffic and is perfect if you are going to be late and have to phone ahead of time to inform them.
- You can decide to pay via cash, card or Paypal. There is also an account option.
We loved using the Addison Lee app and found it to be really efficient and quick. We particularity impressed when we received a text to say that our cab had WiFi on board!
If you are out about within the M25 then you may find a taxi from Addison Lee is well worth budgeting into your evening. The app makes the booking perfect and the communication they have with you reassures you from beginning to end.
