You may remember this post that I published at the beginning of January about my love for adult coloring books. I found adult coloring books to be quite a stress reliever, especially with all of these renovations and I cannot stress enough how great they have been. Sadly, the other week I colored the last page of my very first book so I was not sure what I was going to do for my ‘down time’. I had already showered so I was not feeling a work out and I needed to ‘be present’ around the house (yay construction). Thankfully the weather was quite lovely, so I decided to take my down time on the front patio.
The combination of the fresh air, the sunshine and the new issue of Vogue magazine; made for a perfect down time session outside. It’s amazing what just 20 minutes a day of the outdoors and a magazine can do for your soul. It just relieves so much stress and for me, allows the escape of the construction noises and chaos. For now, I have just been reading outside, filling in my planner but once my new adult coloring book arrives I assure you I will be coloring outside…at least until the weather gets unbearable.
