It has been a very busy wildfire season in Oregon. While at Roberts Field during a recent trip, I got to observe some tanker activity on the other side of the airfield. Erickson Aero Tanker operates a fleet of firefighting aircraft, including three of these airliners converted to deliver 3,000 gallons of fire retardant. Tanker 66 was originally delivered to United Airlines in 1958. Nikon D7100 w/18-200 mm, processed with Aperture.
