This C-47, seen here at the Planes of Fame Airshow, saw service with the United States Army Air Force, Royal Air Force, Force Arienne Belge, Armee de l Air, and the Israeli Defense Force before finding its way into the collection of the Palm Springs Air Museum. The B-models were equipped with two-speed superchargers for better altitude performance to fly the China-Burma-India routes. Of the total 10,174 C-47 production 3,364 were C-47Bs.
