Verdict on Double or Nothing
Recap
The movie follows two hapless cousins who have been stealing from the mob. However, when the mob boss discovers their actions, he wants their money back. The cousins must make money quickly, and it takes them through a comical tale of criminals in their local town.
Best Parts
The crazy night the cousins go through brings moments of comedy to the movie. Some work well and the unusual colourful figures they meet along the night help keep the movie flowing nicely.
Worst Parts
It doesn’t have the style needed to elevate it to the next level. It has charm but not sparkle, and the style feels more generic for a typical late-night thriller. The move tries for more laughs, instead of being as tight as the story could be.
Final Thoughts – Double or Nothing is a typical late-night thriller.
