My Thoughts: Just checking in with my progress on this series.
Lover Revealed is Butch's story and I wasn't a fan. The Lessors managed to kidnap Butch. Not only was he tortured by the Omega gave him something special. It was interesting and freaky at the same time. I'll be interested to see how this turn of events plays out in future books. What I didn't care to much for was Butch's romance. I liked Butch just the way he was and I didn't like how he was "changed." Since a huge part of the awesomeness of this series comes from my attachment to the brothers and their love lives, this one just didn't do it for me. I'm not sure I would skip it though. They all have so many storylines that go into the future that I don't think anyone should skip any one installment.
Lover Unbound is Vishous's story and it was all kinds of awesome until the end. I couldn't put this down. I inhaled this book only to be disappointed how it turned out in the end. Vishous has huge issues because his father abused him and he didn't know his mother. Well he finds out the identity of his mother and he isn't happy. He's also dealing with his strange relationship with Butch. While dealing with a bunch of lessors, tragedy strikes and Butch ends up in a human hospital where he meets Jane. Jane is fab-tastic! She's next to Rhage on my list of favorites. Jane can hold her own and she is sarcastic. Unfortunately, Vishous has found himself responsible for ensuring that the Brotherhood grows. This responsibility kind of messes up any chance of a relationship of any kind. Things only get crazy from there. Again, I loved this book until the end. I'm completely invested in this series but I need a little break after this one.
Thoughts? Where are you on this series? Who are you faves and next faves?
