May 2014

This was my first trip to Spain and the Museo del Aire.  This facility has six exhibition galleries and over 150 aircraft on display.  The Do 24 is a German three-engine flying boat designed by the Dornier Flugzeugwerke for maritime patrol and search and rescue. In 1944, 12 Do 24s were delivered to Spain with the understanding that they would assist downed airmen of both sides.  Spanish Do 24s were operational at least until 1967.  Nikon D7000 with 18-200mm, processing by Photomatix Pro.
