Doritos chips is coming to Polygon (MATIC)

Doritos, a well-known food brand, wants everyone to join its groundbreaking metaverse experience in Decentraland (MANA). With NFTs on Polygon Network, Doritos Triangle Studios is ready to blow up in the red-hot segment.

Doritos chips become latest metaverse brand with Polygon-based NFTs

The American company that makes Doritos chips says in an official statement that Doritos Triangle Studios is its first metaverse venue. The campaign starts on February 8 with minigames, airdrops, and lotteries that are all about the brand.

A musical metaverse mixer like no other (say that three times fast). Chance to win custom gaming PCs, @RTFKT & @MeebitsNFTs, limited Edition Doritos wearables and more in our new @Decentraland
world, #DoritosTriangleStudios.

In the next week, the luckiest metaverse fans will be able to win high-end, custom-made gaming PCs, the super-rare NFT CloneX #12118 (Takashi Murakami drop), and the Meebits #53 digital collectible by the legendary studio Larva Labs. Also up for grabs will be some fancy merchandise. On February 8, 2023, the prize pool will be made public. The virtual experience will happen in the Decentraland (MANA) metaverse.

Meanwhile, Polygon (MATIC) co-founder Mihailo Bjelic emphasized that this agreement has nothing to do with the popular Web3 marketing practice of paid “partnerships for partnerships”:

“Interesting to note that they, as well as several other global brands, started using Polygon without and bizdev activity or help from Polygon Labs! Organic mainstream adoption is the best mainstream adoption.”

Polygon (MATIC) has expanded its bet on the status of the major NFT-centric blockchain in recent months. In the fourth quarter of 2022, top Solana-based NFT collections shifted to it.
