In Doors, there are some creatures you must continue to watch. For some, such as Eyes, you have to react in the other way.

About The Lookman
There is just one hostile creature in The Backdoor region, and that is The Lookman. He looks like a figure made of transparent red and black, with red eyes that shine. You will receive a lot of damage if you look directly at The Lookman. Next, the Lookman will teleport to a different location inside the room. For larger groups of players, this may be quite risky as teleporting after these strikes might start a domino effect. The Lookman will briefly lose vision for players when he changes locations.
How To Survive The Lookman
The Lookman could be a real threat to a run, but luckily, if you know how to deal with him, you should be fine.
- Look down. –When entering a room, it’s better to keep your eyes down until you’re certain there isn’t a Lookman inside. If you keep your sights down below the face, you may safely examine the entity’s body.
- Communicate in groups. – During a team Backdoor run, make sure everyone knows not to look in the direction of The Lookman. By doing this, it may be possible to prevent domino effects when players start moving.
- Listen for sound cues. – Learn to recognize the “boom” sound produced by the Lookman’s percussion as he delivers damage. When you hear this, you should keep your eyes down since it signals that he has just transported and that he is in a room.
