DoorDash now offers grocery delivery

DoorDash, known for its restaurant delivery services, has added groceries to its menu. The company announced Thursday that it is partnering with Meijer and Fresh Thyme to supply customers in Chicago, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Detroit and Indianapolis. It also works with Smart & Final in California to deliver groceries in Sacramento, the San Francisco Bay Area, the Central Coast, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.

DoorDash says more than 10,000 items are delivered from participating grocery stores in less than an hour, meaning no planning or waiting time is required.

The company will be adding more options across the country in the coming weeks via grocery stores like Hy-Vee.
