Neighbors’ doorbell camera captures elderly hero woman from Arizona trying to wake up her neighbors while their house is on fire. The woman called Carolyn is persistent in her action and after some time she manages to save the entire family.
The video, caught by a Ring doorbell camera, shows Carolyn in a bathrobe desperately pounding both hands on her neighbors’ front door.
“Get out! Wake up! Get up!” she screams. A front door opens and Carolyn warns, “Your house is on fire. Get out! Move!“
She disappears into the home for a few seconds. Nicole and her husband quickly emerge with their four children ages 4 through 12, Carolyn hurrying them along from behind. They exit urgently in their pajamas. Carolyn can be heard reassuring the shaken family. “It’s OK,” she said. “Go to my house. Go to my house.”
The video, posted to TikTok by Nicole, has been viewed more than 7 million times with more than 75,000 comments as of Thursday. She said her kids wanted to post it to show off “how awesome our neighbor is.”
“She just deserves all the credit in the world,” Nicole said.
