Doodles hires three leaders to develop NFT products

Austin Hurwitz, Joe Ranzenbach, and Jay Ciruolo have all been hired by Doodles to be in charge of business development, product management, and frontend engineering, respectively.

The Web3 entertainment firm Doodles, which is behind the NFT project with the same name, has added three new people to its leadership team.

Doodles is a blue-chip NFT project that was started by Jordan Castro, Evan Keast, and the world-famous visual artist Scott Martin. In its first year, more than $500 million was traded in Doodles. It also goes the Doodlebank, which is a community bank that lets collectors fund new ideas. This gives the community a say in how the Doodles brand expands.

Hurwitz’s first day as head of business development at Doodles was Monday, and he said he was looking forward to “partnering across the industry to develop the most joyful products and experiences in the world for our holders.”

He is the creator of the Web3 advising firm Chasing Curiosity and previously held the positions of VP of music operations, product team lead, and SVP of Web3 & Community at the music distribution platform Venice. Prior to that, he worked for Amazon for five years as a strategic vendor specialist for Amazon Outdoors and a content acquisition manager for Amazon Music.

Joe Ranzenbach joined Doodles last week as its new head of product management. This is his first job at a Web3 company. He used to be the VP of Product at Cardlytics, which is a platform for advertising in banks’ digital channels. Before that, Ranzenbach was in charge of product strategy and product management at a digital media company called Integral Ad Science for more than four years.

Jay Ciruolo, the co-founder of the comedy collectibles platform Jambb, has joined Hurwitz and Ranzenbach as part of Doodles’ latest leadership hires. He will be in charge of the company’s frontend engineering, along with Hurwitz and Ranzenbach. He has 17 years of experience building and designing products.

Last June, Pharrell Williams, an American rapper, was hired by Doodles as its Chief Brand Officer. In September, Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six led a $54 million funding round for the company.

Doodles still wants to grow its team, according to its LinkedIn page, which lists job openings for a head of marketing, a head of business affairs, and a senior front-end engineer.
