Donation to SYMA - Thanks to the Article in The Hindu Tamil

I had earlier on 23^rd Aug 14,  posted on the nice article on SYMA  that appeared in  – The Hindu ‘Tamil edition’ on its second page.   Special thanks to Mr SR Ragunathan, Chief Photographer and Mr K. SriBarath for this nice article.
The newsitem nicely articulated on the good work of SYMA in various fields highlighting the Medical Centre providing consultation and medicines to poor patients at measly  Rs.2/-;
To our surprise and delight, there was a visitor from KK Nagar, at our Medical Centre – and .... she donated Rs.3 lakhs for SYMA.  The respected lady Mrs K.P. Vedambal had read about SYMA and was impressed by our service.  SYMA thanks great people like her, the support provided by generous minded people enables our continuance of our service. Many many thanks to her and to all our donors.  Another friend of mine Mr Deenadayalan upon reading that article visited our Office and donated Rs.10000/-  Another nice letter from Tamilnadu Thyagikal Kazhagam (Martyrs association) – from far off Thuckalay, Kanyakumari Dist.

Sribarath. ‘சைமா’ மருத்துவமனைக்கு மூதாட்டி ரூ.3 லட்சம் நன்கொடை: 'தி இந்து' செய்தி எதிரொலி சென்னை திருவல்லிக்கேணி பார்த்தசாரதி கோயிலுக்கு அருகே உள்ள ‘சைமா’ (ஸ்ரீநிவாஸ் இளைஞர்கள் நற்பணி சங்கம்) மருத்துவமனையில் 2 ரூபாய்க்கு தரமான மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை அளிக்கப்படுகிறது என்று ‘தி இந்து’வின் ‘பூச்செண்டு’ பகுதியில் கடந்த ஆகஸ்ட் 23-ம் தேதி செய்தி வெளியிடப்பட்டிருந்தது. மருத்துவ சேவை மட்டுமின்றி சத்தமில்லாமல் பல சேவைகளை செய்துவரும் ‘சைமா’ பற்றி ‘தி இந்து’வில் செய்தி வெளியானதில் இருந்தே, அந்த அமைப்புக்கு பாராட்டும் நிதியும் குவிந்துவருகிறது. சென்னை கே.கே.நகரை சேர்ந்த கே.பி.வேதாம்பாள் என்ற மூதாட்டி, ‘சைமா’வுக்கு ரூ.3 லட்சம் நன்கொடை வழங்கியுள்ளார். இதுகுறித்து வேதாம்பாள் கூறும்போது, ‘‘தி இந்துவில் சைமா குறித்த செய்தியை படித்ததுமே அந்த அமைப்புக்கு உதவவேண்டும் என்று முடிவு செய்துவிட்டேன். மருத்துவம் மட்டுமல்லாது, பின்தங்கியமாணவர்களுக்கு கல்விச் சேவையும் அவர்கள் செய்வதுபாராட்டுக்குரியது. அதனால் தான் உடனே ரூ.3 லட்சம் வழங்கினேன். முன்பே தெரிந்திருந்தால் நானும் அவர்களோடு இணைந்து சேவை செய்திருப்பேன். வயது 78 ஆகிறது. அதனால், பொருளாதார உதவி மட்டுமே செய்ய முடிந்தது’’ என்றார். ‘சைமா’ செயலாளர் சம்பத்குமார் கூறும்போது, ‘‘தி இந்துவில் இச்செய்தி வெளியானதில் இருந்தே, தமிழகத்தின் பல பகுதிகளில் இருந்தும் எங்கள் அமைப்புக்கு பாராட்டுக் கடிதங்கள், நிதியுதவிகள் வந்தவண்ணம் உள்ளன. எங்களை ஊக்கப்படுத்தி உதவி செய்த வேதாம்பாள் உட்பட அனைவருக்கும் நன்றி’’ என்றார்.
