Verdict on Don’t Turn Out the Lights

Recap

The movie follows a group of friends who go on a road trip. They are heading to a music festival but become stranded at the side of the ride. However, outside the RV something is hunting them in the darkness, and they must figure how to stay alive.

Best Parts

The highlight of the movie comes from the location it happens in. We get an isolated roadside with something lurking in the darkness, which has all the potential for a terrifying movie.

Worst Parts

The college friends are mostly annoying, and it is difficult to believe any of them feel real. There is also some lag in the story, which slows down the terrifying situation. It felt like we needed a much tighter runtime to achieve the biggest scare factor the story presents.

Final ThoughtsDon’t Turn Out the Lights struggles to capture the horror presented.
