Verdict on Don’t Let the Cat Out
Recap
The movie follows a college student who takes a job housesitting for a rich couple. However, he learns they have other ideas for him, as they want to put their cat’s soul into his body.
Best Parts
The movie brings us another vision of the ‘Tusk’ concept where someone wants to transform a human into an animal. It has a different twist behind the motivation. This concept has been appearing more often recently, and it plays into the idea extremely well. The performances are fun, and the disturbing nature of everything is entertaining. It puts Charlie through a lot, and the gruesome style gives us plenty of blood.
Worst Parts
It is a style we are seeing a lot, and for the most part, it works, but if this style isn’t for you, it won’t click in anyway. There is also a hint at a more spiritual belief, which can take the backburner for more of a slasher style.
Final Thoughts –Don’t Let the Cat Out is fun, disturbing and bloody.
