Domain Movers: Texture.com, FijiFit.com & More Domains

Domain Movers is a series where I detect domain names on the move, with the majority of the following being acquired or sold by large corporations. The remaining are simply valuable domain names on the move as well for one reason or another.

Here we go with the latest domain name registrations, purchases and simply movers:

Amazon Technologies, Inc. has registered the domain names AmazonLaunchPad.com and Amazon-LaunchPad.com. They do not own the EMD currently. They also registered AmazonView.com adding to the domain name portfolio of over 42,000+ and continued with AmazonDelivers.Jobs

Launchpad is offering “cutting-edge” and “fresh new products”. They redirect AmazonLaunchPad.com here.

Simon & Schuster (division of CBS and is a publisher) has registered the domain name ItsGoodToPartyWithGronk.com . “Gronk” is the common nicname of Robert Gronkowski who plays football for the New England Patriots. I did find a similar domain and website, “Gronk’s Party Ship” (GronksPartyShip.com) which is a cruise that is hosted by Rob and his family that is taking place February 19-22, 2016.

Unilever Plc has purchased the domain name DramaTime.com from BuyDomains.com. The domain had a listing price of $2,588 and has been registered since September 16, 2004.

Stericycle Communication Solutions has become the new registrant for CallCenters.com from a Robert Porter and a registrant email address of [email protected]. WeAnswer.com is owned by 1-800 We Answer of New York, New York with the registrant name of David Baren. AnsweringServices.com has also changed to Stericycle from We Answer. Visiting EFLS.com, it states that 1-800 We Answer is a Stericycle business. I wasn’t able to find any articles relating to the company buying them or if the company is/was a subsidiary.

Texture.com has been acquired by Next Issue Media of Menlo Park, California. The domain had been under whois privacy at Network Solutions. On July 19, 2015 the domain name transferred to GoDaddy with a [email protected]” registrant email address. A July 27, 2015 whois record displays Next Issue Media.

According to Archive.org, the past website on Texture.com stated: “We are a marketing communications company specializing in interactive design. Our experience is in creating media that educate international audiences about new technology in an exciting and effective way ­ from web sites to online demos, from presentations to guides.”

Texture.com now redirects to NextIssue.com that states, “All the magazines you love.” showing somebody using a tablet and smartphone viewing magazines. The about us page states: “Next Issue Media, the start-up company behind the Next Issue App, is a joint venture formed by six leading publishers – Condé Nast, Hearst, Meredith, News Corp., Rogers Communications and Time Inc. Next Issue has offices located in the heart of Silicon Valley in Menlo Park, California and in New York City near Times Square.”

Capital One Services, Inc. registered the domain names CashTapp.com |.net adding to its domain name portfolio of over 5,000+ domain names.

PosterBoard.com has been acquired at Sedo by a Joe Sandin of Posterboard, LLC from Fargo, North Dakota. The registrant email address is tied to a digital marketing service called OnSharp Inc. who is also located in Fargo. The domain name sold for $5,000 and has been registered since December 24, 2001.

Merchant Venture LTD was the buyer of the $20,500 domain name purchase VapeClub.com at Sedo. They also own and use the domain name VapeClub.co.uk

KEYW Corporation acquired Forbes Analytic Software, Inc. which used the domain name Fasi.com at the time, has now been sold via Sedo. KEYW acquired the company in May 2011. The buyer is Tim Schoon of PEJ Private Equity from the Netherlands

FIJI Water Company LLC has acquired the domain name FijiFit.com, a domain name that has been registered since November 2011. The domain was owned by Andrew Walkden-Brown of Fiji.

Hasbro, Inc. the owners of over 3,000+ domain names has added to that sum with several new domain name registrations that all relate to each other. Some of those include, HasbroGameLab.com, HasbroGamingLab.com and HasbroLab.com . Each domain name had the plural “labs” registered as well.

Home Box Office, Inc. (HBO) registered the domain name WelcomeToMiracle.com

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. has taken ownership of the domain name SuperHeroGirls.com, a domain name that has been registered since July 7, 2004. There has been a website on the domain name for many years, which was adult content related.

“DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Mattel will launch DC Super Hero Girls, a new superhero universe designed to empower girls” in the fall of 2015, according to ComicBook.com.

A UDRP was filed by DC Comics on July 16, 2015 with a case number of D2015-1076 and has a status of “Terminated”.

There are several trademarks for the term “Super Hero” and one is owned by Marvel Characters, Inc. and DC Comics that was filed in 1966. I personally wasn’t even aware that “super hero” was trademarked.

Spil Games Intangibles B.V. registered the domain name HeroSimulator.com adding to its 1,100 + domain name portfolio.

GG.com has transferred registrars from Webfusion LTD. to eName and changed registrants. The domain name was owned by GG.com Limited of the UK who also uses the domain name GG.co.uk which is related to betting. The new registrant email address is [email protected] and is listed now on 4.cn.

eBay Inc. registered several variations of “eBay Twenty Five” with almost all being .com|.net combination like eBay25.com, eBay-25.com, eBay-TwentyFive.com, EbayTwentyFive.com, and eBayTwenty.com.

YN.com has been sold by Future Media Architects, Inc. to HANGZHOU MIDAIZI NETWORK CO.,LTD. (Owners of 4.cn). The domain name was listed for sale with DomainNameSales.com and has been registered since March 14, 1998.

Harman International Industries, Inc. filed a trademark for the term “Expect Brilliance” on July 14, 2015 with a status date of July 20, 2015 and the matching .com domain name was “available” at the time of the filing and public status date but ExpectBrilliance.com was registered the following day after being published publicly on July 21, 2015 by a Pablo Park of Seoul Korea.

Enterprise Holdings, Inc. has acquired the domain name HoldMyRide.com from a Gil Cygler of Citiwide Auto Leasing Inc. according to whois records. The domain name was registered May 2, 2012.
