The film was presented for the first time on 18 July at Ancient theater of Taormina, on an evening hosted by the Sicilian Region, Taormina Film Fest and the Taormina Arte Foundation: an exceptional muse was the guest of honor, Monica Bellucci, accompanied by a special performance by Il Volo.
Giuseppe Tornatore's film was produced by Dolce & Gabbana, a choice that certainly confirms their unconditional love for the warm island, as well as their native land. Sicily has always been a precious source of inspiration. It is no coincidence that the Fall Winter 1987-88 collection was simply called Sicily.
