However, even if you visit in the summertime, you may still be unlucky to get a rainy day, as downpours can happen throughout the year.

If you have ever talked to a local from Melbourne about the weather, they have probably used the phrase ‘four seasons in one day’. This refers to the constant change of the city’s weather, with some days going from a blazing hot, sunny day to raining and harsh winds throughout the afternoon and night. The reason for this constant change is also due to the location, being in the path of cooler air. The hot weather is magnified by the large continent, with the warm air from northern regions traveling across and down to Melbourne. Leading to constant warm and cold bursts from both sides of the city.

Although the weather can be unpredictable, that shouldn’t stop you from traveling to this amazing city.
