Beginner Achievements Difficulty
The Beginner difficulty contains 13 achievements that will introduce you to the core mechanics of Dobbel Dungeon. You will want to focus on gathering resources, expanding your roster, and learning the dice system.
Hunting for Treasure and Wealth
To unlock the
Treasure!,
Finder’s keeper’s, and
Another man’s treasure achievements, you must open 1, 10, and 25 treasure chests respectively. To make this process incredibly easy, you should utilize Pete. Pete has a skill called X Marks The Spot that forces treasure chests to appear.
For the
Well funded and
Adventure capitalist achievements, you need to gain a total of 10,000 and 50,000 gold. To maximize your gold income, build a team around Amy and Pete. Amy has the Bounty Hunter skill, which makes enemies drop significantly more coins upon defeat. Meanwhile, Pete possesses the Plunder skill, which directly doubles the yield you receive from treasure chests. When you combine Pete’s Plunder with his X Marks The Spot skill, completing these gold milestones becomes trivial.
Finally, simply win 50 battles to secure the
Battlemaster achievement.
Building Your Roster
You need to unlock all eight heroes to earn the
Lost and found and
All accounted for achievements. The current version of the game features eight distinct characters. Here is exactly where you can find each of them:
- Christian: You unlock Christian by default, but you can also find him as a prisoner on Greenwood Isle.
- Elm: You unlock Elm by default.
- Amber: You unlock Amber by default, but you can also find her as a prisoner in Brimstone Quarry.
- Amy: You must rescue Amy as a prisoner on Greenwood Isle.
- Pete: You must rescue Pete as a prisoner in Blackbone Bay.
- Melody: You must rescue Melody as a prisoner in Blackbone Bay.
- Barbara: You must rescue Barbara as a prisoner in Frosty Peaks.
- Sprocket: You must rescue Sprocket as a prisoner in Brimstone Quarry.
Dice Manipulation and Exploration
To unlock
Listen here, buddy…, you must manipulate 100 dice. You can achieve this easily by upgrading the Reroll skill, which increases your usage from one to three per turn. Should also equip items with skills that merge, split, increase, or decrease dice values.
For the exploration milestones, you will earn
Peace and quiet,
Dashing through the snow,
Swimming with sharks, and
Hot stuff by completing Greenwood Isle, Frosty Peaks, Blackbone Bay, and Brimstone Quarry.

Bonus Trick: You can conquer the four main islands (Greenwood Isle, Frosty Peaks, Blackbone Bay, and Brimstone Quarry) in any order and on any difficulty setting to secure your Sightseer exploration achievements effortlessly.
Normal Achievements Difficulty
Stepping up to Normal difficulty introduces 21 new achievements. This phase requires you to experiment with different party combinations and specific item loadouts.
Hero Mastery
You must complete a run with every single hero to unlock a series of character specific achievements. These achievements include
Justice prevails,
That was lit,
Restoring the balance,
Bagged and tagged,
One with the crew,
Crusher, destroyer,
A song for the deaf, and
Problem solved.
You can complete these runs on any difficulty. The game considers a run complete when you defeat the final boss after clearing two, three, or four islands. Characters you obtain from rescue missions count toward these achievements, provided you bring them into the final boss fight. Even if a character dies during the final boss encounter, the game still counts them toward your completion as long as your surviving party members win the fight.
You will also earn the
Show me what you got and
Been there, done that achievements by starting and completing a run with every hero at least once. Running the Beginner difficulty makes this task very straightforward.
Companions and Wealth
For the
In good company and
The more the merrier achievements, you need to summon one and three companions in a single battle. Imps, wolves, turrets, stations, and bots all count toward this goal. You can summon these companions using character skills or by using equipment like scrolls and blueprints. We highly recommend using Amber, Elm, or Sprocket to flood the battlefield with companions quickly.
To earn the
Big Spender achievement, you need to spend 10,000 gold. You do not need to hoard your money because your spending score accumulates across multiple runs.
Advanced Dice Patterns and Equipment
You need to roll specific dice patterns to unlock
The number of the beast (666),
Full house! (11222),
Straight! (12345), and
Yatzy! (11111). Your dice do not need to be in sequence, and you are not limited to five rolls per turn. Upgrading your Reroll skill and wearing equipment that manipulates dice values will help you hit these patterns tremendously.
Island Hopping
The
Sightseer achievement requires you to visit every island at least once. You simply need to complete all islands one time across any number of runs. However, the
Going the extra mile and
None left behind achievements demand that you complete three and four islands within a single run.

Bonus Trick: To easily score the
A calculated risk achievement, bring melee-oriented heroes like Christian and Barbara to significantly increase the chances of negative effect items appearing in the shops.
Challenging Achievements Difficulty
The Challenging difficulty pushes your strategic planning with 10 complex achievements. You will need to optimize your skill points and maximize your equipment rarities.
Managing Skill Points
To unlock the
Knowledge is power and
Who needs a soul anyway achievements, you must buy and sell 10 Skill points to the Mystic. You can achieve this easily by completing all islands and opening every treasure chest you find. The game tallies your score over multiple runs, so you do not need to buy or sell all 10 points in bulk.
You also need to level up your skills to unlock
Skilled and
Well rounded. These achievements require you to have one and all heroes equipped with Tier 4 skills. Completing every island should give you enough Skill Points to invest all your heroes to Tier 4.
To unlock
This one’s my favorite, you must have one hero with at least 15 skill points more than the rest of your party. The easiest way to do this is to refund all skills from your other heroes and then invest everything exclusively into one character.
Maximizing Power and Gear
The
Unlimited power achievement asks you to have a hero roll at least 10 dice at the start of a turn. You can accomplish this by upgrading specific skills. The Dice+ skill increases dice rolls by one to three per turn. Amy’s Prepare skill increases rolls by one to two per turn. Christian’s Blessing of Endurance skill increases rolls by two to three per turn. You should also equip items that increase your dice rolls, which you can easily find in the shops at Frosty Peaks and Brimstone Quarry.
For your equipment milestones, you will want to target the
All geared up achievement by ensuring all heroes are fully equipped with items of any rarity. To push further, you must hunt for
How peculiar…,
A rare sight indeed, and
Epic! achievements. You only need to fully equip one single hero with Epic (Purple) items to trigger all three of these rarity achievements at the same time. You can obtain Purple items by defeating island bosses or purchasing them directly from shops.

Bonus Trick: If you find yourself lacking the necessary skill points to reach Tier 4 on all your heroes for the Skilled achievement, do not panic. You can simply buy the remaining points you need directly from the Mystic.
Tactician Achievements Difficulty
The Tactician difficulty contains 30 brutal achievements. This section tests your combat knowledge and damage optimization.
Mastering Elemental Damage
You must deal 2,000 total damage across various elements to unlock
Brute (Physical),
Firestarter (Fire),
Snowman (Ice),
Thundergod (Lightning),
Viper (Poison), and
Paladin (Holy).
The damage type dictates the color of the numbers displayed on screen. White indicates Physical damage. Orange indicates Fire damage. Blue indicates Ice damage. Pale Yellow indicates Thunder damage. Deep Yellow indicates Holy damage. Green indicates Poison damage.
If your total damage dealt exceeds the remaining health of your target, the game will only display the first few elemental colors. However, the game still counts all the hidden damage toward your achievements. We recommend using dice that deal lower damage per hit so you can sneak in more hits on enemies before they die.
Here are the best heroes for each damage type:
- Fire: Use Amber because her buffs count toward the damage total. You can also use Sprocket with his grenade, flamethrower, and trap skills.
- Ice: Use Melody or use Sprocket and his grenade.
- Thunder: Use Elm or use Sprocket with his rocket and grenade skills.
- Holy: Use Christian. Remember that his counterattacks also count toward the total.
- Poison: Use Pete by stacking his skeleton and ranged damage buffs. You can also use Amy with a purple bow.
Healing and Shielding
You must grant 1,000 health and 1,000 shield points to unlock the
Medic and
Shieldbearer achievements. Equip items that buff your healing and shielding power.
For healing, bring Melody, Elm, or Sprocket with his healing station. You can also use Barbara and her skill that grants one health point per physical hit. For shielding, use Melody, Sprocket, or Christian. Please note that Christian’s Sanctuary skill does not count toward the shield achievement.
The Villager Uprising
To unlock
Uprising and
Power to the people, villagers must defeat 1 and 25 enemies. Rescued heroes do not count as villagers, but shopkeepers definitely do. Enemies killed by villagers through direct attacks or through buffs and counters applied to the villagers will count toward your progress.
The most convenient strategy requires Christian and Amber. Have Christian apply Sanctuary to a villager, and then apply Divine Retribution to give the villager counterattacks. You should pair this with Amber’s Flame Armor skill.
Be aware of a specific bug regarding the Divine Retribution skill. If you cast Divine Retribution first and then cast Sanctuary, Divine Retribution will fail to trigger. You must always cast Sanctuary first.
Combat Milestones and Specific Missions
You will unlock
Out of my way!,
You’re no match for me!, and
Unstoppable! by killing 500 Normal, Veteran, and Elite enemies. You will find Normal enemies during the first two islands. Veteran enemies appear during the second and third islands. Elite enemies spawn during the third and fourth islands.
You need to complete three specific mission types perfectly. For
Fowl play, complete a Chicken Run mission without losing any chickens. We recommend using Sprocket to place sentries near the enemy spawn points while a second hero guards the area. Your third hero should focus entirely on collecting the chickens. Do not let the enemy kill any chickens on the map.
For
In safe hands and
My house, you must complete an Escort mission and a Defend mission with the objective at full health. Your objective can take damage during the fight as long as you heal it back up to maximum health before the battle ends. Bring Melody, Elm, or Sprocket to keep the target healed. Play these on Beginner difficulty so the enemies have less health.
Massive Damage and Survival Feats
To earn
Take that! and
Well played!, you must deal 50 and 75 damage in a single turn. To earn
Overwhelming force and
Terminator, you must deal 50 damage and kill 5 enemies in a single action.
Play on Beginner difficulty and visit the third and fourth islands because they have the highest enemy density. Enemy spawners like igloos and tents count as targets. Use heroes with wide area of effect attacks. Pete’s Cannonball skill adds dice numbers together, meaning double sixes will yield 12 damage to multiple targets. Make sure to use Amy’s Focus and Melody’s Song of Power to double your damage output.
For the
Still standing achievement, a single hero must take 25 damage before their next turn and survive. Shields do not count toward this, so avoid using them. Bring a hero with high health like Barbara or high regeneration like Elm. Equip items that increase your maximum health, and avoid damage reducing items. Let the dense enemies on the fourth island attack your hero, or use friendly fire to reach the 25 damage threshold.
Difficulty Clears and Flawless Victories
To unlock the
Victory!,
That wasn’t so hard, and
Who’s the boss now achievements, you must complete a run on Any, Challenging, and Tactician difficulties. You do not need to finish every island for these specific milestones. You can skip straight to the final boss after completing just two islands.
For the
Can’t touch this! achievement, you must win 5 battles without any hero losing health. Play your battles on Beginner difficulty so you can defeat enemy mobs in one shot with absolute ease.
Close Calls and Last Stands
To earn
One for all, you must win a battle with only one hero left standing. You can fight tough enemies on Tactician difficulty, or you can simply use friendly fire to eliminate two of your own heroes before finishing the battle.
For the
Tis but a scratch! and
Living on the edge achievements, you must win a battle with one and all heroes at critical health. The easiest method is to attack your own team until their health bars run thin right before you land the final blow on the last enemy. You will know you are at critical health when the screen takes on a reddish tint.

Bonus Trick: To easily earn the achievements for winning a battle with only one hero left standing or having all heroes at critical health, purposefully use friendly fire on your own team right before finishing a battle.
The Final Boss Strategy Guide
Securing the
Now what? achievement requires you to complete a run on Tactician difficulty with four islands completed. The final boss is extremely aggressive on Tactician, so you must understand the mechanics perfectly.
We recommend building a team consisting of Pete, Sprocket, and Melody. Build Pete as an attacker and buffer. Build Sprocket as an attacker and healer. And build Melody as an attacker, healer, and shield stacker. Focus on offensive builds while clearing the islands, but balance your team toward massive healing and shield stacking before entering the final boss room.
The battle consists of four distinct phases:
Phase 1 (100% to 51% Health)
Deal with the boss normally. Maintain a strong offense while constantly stacking your shields. You should wait out the attacks from the boss before bringing its health below the 51 percent threshold.
Phase 2 and 3 (50% to 26% Health)
The boss will become completely impervious to all your attacks. It will then summon dangerous doppelgangers. These doppelgangers will mimic the Tier 4 skills and the turn order of your own characters. You must finish them quickly using powerful area of effect attacks. The doppelgangers will not copy your summons. Once you defeat the doppelgangers, the boss will lose its invincibility and behave exactly as it did in Phase 1. Wait out its attacks, heal your party, and stack your shields again.
Phase 4 (25% to Defeat)
The boss will gain damage reduction, elemental resistances, and a deadly elemental damage buff. This becomes a brutal battle of attrition. You must launch an all-out attack while spreading your characters around the map to minimize casualties.

Bonus Trick: In case you face a near total wipeout during the battle, you can quit to the main menu and then hit continue. This action brings you back to the exact moment before the fight begins, though you will have to pay the Mystic for party revives. Speaking of the Mystic, you will unlock the
Not today! achievement by simply restoring a hero’s ghost at the Mystic shop located in town, the first island, or the fourth island.
Conclusion
Conquering the depths of Dobbel Dungeon and securing a perfect completion rate demands immense patience and a flawless grasp of advanced combat mechanics. By following our curated equipment recommendations and executing this foolproof final boss strategy, you will entirely eliminate the frustration of endless trial and error. You are now fully equipped to tackle every brutal challenge and unlock those elusive endgame achievements in record time. Keep your shields high, manage your skill points wisely, and always embrace the thrill of the perfect roll.

Fun Fact: The game has a distinct playdough or claymation style. You can actually see faint thumbprints stamped into the character models and their weapons to give it a true physical tabletop vibe.
